How to manage the content of your clipboard on Windows 7/8/10

Having a way of accessing windows clipboard and manage the data history could be something great to boost your productivity and save you time. Therefore, you may need a professional and stable clipboard manager software. It could make it easy to record and track the text or images cut or copied and return them back to the clipboard without efforts. More importantly, it should be capable of sharing the data across all devices you may use.

PinClipBoard is a simple but powerful clipboard manager software on Windows. It is designed to help users access your Windows clipboard and track the data you copy into the clipboard. Pin the data to the board for future use and quick access. Sync the data so you can access it anywhere on any device. You can copy here and then paste there.

In this post, we will go over how to use this software to manage the content of your clipboard on Windows 7/8/10

Track clipboard history.

PinClipBoard is able to log the Windows clipboard history and restore the data in your local database whenever you copy data to the clipboard. The data you copied (by using Ctrl + C or Righ Click -> Copy), will show up on the “History” tab in PinClipBoard immediately. Then, you can retrieve the data easily by double-click on it when it is necessary.

On current version, PinClipBoard can record data in formats including: <Plain Text> <Html Code> <Images (Bmp/Png/Jpg/Gif/Tiff)>. More file formats will be supported in near future.

As all data will be restored in the local database, you will not lose the data even you shut down or restart your computer.

Pin frequently-used data in the favorites.

PinClipBoard provides the capability for users to mark the data for quick access. For example, you can pin the text to the “Pin Board” so you can return it back quickly by double-clicking on it rather than searching it in the clipboard history.

It is quite simple to pin your favorite item. Go to the “History” tab, right click on the item you want to pin. Then, click the “Pin” button and the item will be moved from “History” tab to “Pin Board”. If you want to copy the item, simply double-clicking on it.

If you are looking for a better method to easy access to your favorite folders instead of pinning them to Taskbar, then PinClipBoard is highly recommended. Go to “Pin Folder” tab, you can drag and drop any desired folder onto the panel. PinClipBoard will record the folder path. So, whenever you want to open the folder, just double clicking on it and the folder will be opened immediately.

One of the most important features of PinClipBoard is the sync service. This is super useful if you want to copy the text or image from one computer but paste on another computer. With the ability of sync, you can get a universal clipboard across all your devices without any apps or applications required.

Note: All Devices Should Be in the Same WLAN.

Steps to enable sync service and share the clipboard across different operating systems.

  2. Enable sync service by clicking on the switch button.
  3. A Qr code and IP address will show up.

Hi, thank you for using PinClipboard. Sorry about that, you can’t sync over OneDrive and Google Drive. Pinclipboard is designed for users to sync clipboard data across different devices without an account and logging in. I believe this will be the simplest way. I hate to log in any account. But if you hope to restore your data to OneDrive and GDrive, I will find another way in the near future.
